Nurse Practitioner‑Led Care

Fast, convenient care — no appointment needed

Our Walk‑In Clinic provides same‑day assessment and treatment by our experienced Nurse Practitioner. It is open to everyone, not just Glengarry Medical Group patients.

This service is ideal for straightforward, non‑urgent health concerns that need timely attention.

WHO CAN ATTEND

  • All members of the public — you do not need to be a GMG patient

  • Adults and children

  • Visitors, travellers, and people without a regular GP

CLINIC HOURS

Days:

  • Monday  8am - midday

  • Wednesday 8am - midday

  • Friday 8am - midday

No booking required — simply walk in and our Nurse Practitioner and Nursing Team will triage you on arrival.

WHAT WE CAN TREAT

  • Sick notes

  • Minor infections (e.g., sore throat, ear infection, UTI symptoms)

  • Coughs, colds, mild respiratory symptoms

  • Rashes, skin concerns, minor allergic reactions

  • Simple wounds, minor injuries, sprains

  • Medication reviews or repeats (where clinically appropriate)

  • Contraception advice

  • Basic mental health support

  • Blood pressure checks

  • Simple follow‑up care

BILLING

All Walk‑In Clinic consultations are privately billed without exception. Medicare rebates may apply depending on the service provided.

  • Short consult (simple issue): $65

  • Standard consult: $90

  • Long consult (complex/multiple issues): $140

How the Walk‑In Clinic Works

  • Simply come to Glengarry Medical Group (57 Arnisdale Road Duncraig) during clinic hours and advise reception you would like a walk-in appointment

  • Patients are triaged and seen according to urgency, not arrival order

  • The Administration and Nursing Teams will assess your condition and determine whether it can be safely managed in the clinic

  • If your condition requires GP, urgent care, or hospital management, you will be redirected appropriately

WHAT WE CANNOT TREAT

This clinic is not an urgent care or emergency service.

Please attend a hospital or call 000 for:

  • Chest pain or breathing difficulty

  • Severe abdominal pain

  • Major injuries or fractures

  • Head injuries

  • Severe allergic reactions

  • Heavy bleeding

  • Suspected stroke

  • Complex mental health crises

  • Any condition requiring immediate medical or surgical intervention
